* Test and Inspect parts, products and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards
* Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
* Inspect parts, products and processes to ensure conformance to standards and documenting inspection results on the PC
* Inspect materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments
* Compare products with specification to detect irregularities and defects
* Keep documentation up to date and accurate
* Assist in developing and monitoring incoming, process, and final inspection systems
* Assist in start-up and shutdown activities for production part qualification, augmenting operator inspections and SPC checks
* Complete and maintain records of all receiving inspections of purchased components, materials, sub-contracted services
* Support PPAP submissions, including layouts, control plans, gage R & R's, and SPC documentation
* Instruct and monitor employees in inspection criteria, SPC, and quality procedures in a "hands on" fashion, and reviews SPC charts for problem solving and corrective action
* Act as point of contact for customers and suppliers in communicating quality concerns and non-conforming component and material issues
* Communicate quality concerns to appropriate Engineering personnel, and participates in corrective actions and problem solving activities
* Maintain quality performance records and investigates and documents deviations from prescribed standards of quality
* Develop and maintain visual aids, process documentation, non-conforming part identification requirements (including tags & labels), and product control documents for the organization and customers
* Collect scrap product from the floor, analyze it to determine if it is the fault of the Supplier or facility, and input into scrap daily report
* Perform product audits
* Communicate Quality (Supplier/Customer) issues to the floor to ensure they know and understand what product /process has failed
* Field product received that needs QC approval before being placed in the warehouse
* Review returns from Customers to help in the corrective action process
* Assist in the organization of supplier data files
* Adhere to safety and company policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or equivalent
*
At least 3 years of quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
*
Thorough knowledge of quality control methods and systems
*
Familiar withPPAP submissions, including layouts, control plans, gage R & R's, and SPC documentation
*
An understanding of basic statistical concepts including capability analysis, SPC, and MSA. *
Experience using fixed or variable measuring instruments includingmicrometers, calipers, torque tester, height gage, and other measurement tools.
