Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include:Assists in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques Analyzes existing operations and proposes cost justified improvements Optimizes use of floor space, materials, personnel and equipmentKnowledge of and experience in Standard Time Data Systems (STDS)Knowledge of and coaching experiences in Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)In depth experience in AutoCadRecommend changes to work station, labor &amp layouts to reduce waste and cost per carCoordinate problem solving activity on plant floor level with multi-department resourcesSupport as necessary in-plant tryouts, process changes and implementation plans to resolve ergonomic issuesAssists in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.Analyzes existing operations and proposes cost justified improvementsOptimizes use of floor space, materials, personnel and equipmentAssists in planning new facilities, operations and/or relocation of sameProvides information for various management systemsRegular contact with others outside the work groupMonitors adherence to recommended safety procedures and good housekeepingEstablishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or projectCoordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptionsKeeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertiseActively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities Education and experience required:Experience or equivalent Bachelors degree with a major in Industrial engineering or equivalent trainingStrong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes Demonstrated strong ability with ergonomic requirements of work station design Ability to conduct line balancing activities - 3-5 years experience Ability to coordinate system simulations and design process buff - 3-5 years experience Position related experience - 5 years Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complexOral and written communication skillsKnowledge of work measurement and work standardsKnowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processesDemonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area requiredAppropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals requiredKnowledge of computer software as it pertains to engineering preferred In addition to working with the world???s most recognized and trusted name in staffing, Kelly employees can expect:- Competitive pay- Access to a comprehensive employee benefits package including health, prescription, vision, dental, and life and short-term disability insurance- Service bonus and holiday pay- Portable 401(k) plans- Recognition and incentive programs- Access to continuing education via the Kelly Learning CenterKelly Engineering Resources&amp#174; specializes in providing companies around the world with qualified engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians.
