Our client, a well established Lansing area manufacturing company, is looking to add an assistant controller to its corporate accounting team.Job Responsibilities:*Financial analysis and reporting for the division*Analyze financial data looking for business efficiencies and verifying accuracy*Assist in the development of reporting and prepare statistical and written reports for management*Assist in the development of pricing strategies*Assist in the preparation financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis *Assist in the preparation of tax reports, internal controls documentation and other internal and external reports as required*Support monthly, quarterly and annual balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepare and present monthly financial statements*Ensure inventory accuracy via monitoring of cycle count program, bill of materials, etc*Support annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents*Assist in the development of financial plan and forecast*Assist with company strategic planning*Assist in budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets*Support cost estimating for new and existing products and product options.*Assist with the development of overhead and labor standardsRequirements: *Minimum of bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA a plus*Minimum of three years accounting experience, primarily in manufacturing*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Source: http://www.jobs2careers.com/click.php?id=296881657.96
