JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Information Specialist (CIS) is responsible for the implementation of clinical information technology and for integration of technology into the clinical environment. The Clinical Information Specialist provides expert clinical information support to patient care providers, and serves on system level teams in order to optimize the use of information technology, maximize efficiency, and promote standardization around best practices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
* Three years direct patient care experience in an acute care hospital
* Must have good communication skills
* Must have strong critical thinking skills
* Must possess tact, initiative, and ability to work effectively with others
* Must be able to develop collaborative relationships with physicians
* Must respect the confidentiality of all patient care, physician and hospital information
* Current RN license in the state of Michigan
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Leadership and/or project management experience, minimum one year
* Experience leading teams
* Computer skills required, Visio and Paragon Clinical
