Our client is seeking a Tax Manager for their Lansing, Michigan (MI) location. This is a well established local CPA firm in the Lansing area. Responsibilities:
* Relationship manager for multiple business, trust, estate and individual clients, including time management, communication, and billing;
* Review federal and state (including multi-state) corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, provide tax planning and consulting services related to diverse tax and business topics;
* Perform more complex tax technical research in situations requiring judgment and formulation of alternative courses of action;
* Conduct periodic reviews of client''s general ledger to insure all activity is posted accurately for book and tax purposes;
* Coordination and review of small Review and Compilation engagements, including Peer Review requirements;
* Manage a staff of 3-4 people in tax, accounting, and administrative areas including training and performance reviews;
* Assist in developing tax staff by delegating work, supervising their activities, and being a resource for tax and accounting matters.
