Key Responsibilities Include:
* Delivering a team that consistently meets goals for productivity and customer service
* Ensuring the daily, weekly and period Meat Department financial goals are met
* Knowledge of Meat operation and Meat preparation area
* Managing product flow
* Responsible to execute all processes and corporate Deli programs to Meijer Standards
* Ensuring training curriculum is completed and up to date for all department team members
* Being accountable to Meijer sanitation and safety procedures
* Being accountable to inventory control, quality and freshness date coding procedures
* Effectively manage conflict to achieve desired business results
* Knowledge of weights, measures, and handling of perishable product
* Proven leadership skills
* Knowledge of product presentation and packaging
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work load
* Working knowledge of policies and procedures
* Ability to hold others accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner
* Ability to maintain positive working relationships
* Flexibility to try new procedures
