Responsibilities wil include: Assist experienced Consultants: Perform analytical reviews of operations, transactions and agreements under the direction of the Consultants Perform research on industry trends and indicators Use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other software to assist Consultants in presentations to clients, industry group, referral sources and prospective clients Make technical presentations, as opportunities arise, under the direction of the Consultants Prepare individual, corporate and S-corporation tax returns including: Review and understand prior year tax returns and work papers Prepare tax returns for detail review, ensure all issues are addressed or documented and work papers are complete Prepare tax liability projections for corporate and individual clients Communicate and properly document issues and ideas that arise during preparation of tax returns Communicate to supervisors tax savings ideas that may arise during preparation of tax returns Prepare routine and complex accounting services for clients and prepare compilation and review work papers including: Maintain knowledge of clients'' policies, procedures and business conditions Understand clients'' basic accounting practices and business conditions D emonstrate working knowledge of clients'' accounting systems Have basic understanding of the clients'' business and critical needs Update depreciation and amortization schedules for loans, purchases and disposals of equipment Draft completed compiled and reviewed financial statements, including financial statement disclosures and linking the trial balance to the financial statements Prepare client-specific reports R eview client trial balances, income statements and balance sheets for accuracy Review verifies reconciliation of bank accounts and loans Post applicable journal entries Be able to prioritize work and manage time Communicate with other associates and supervisors progress on work assignments or projects Source: http://www.localhelpwanted.net/midmichigan/job/Staff-Consultant--Lansing-MI-48921-USA/lhw-e0-19917195
