Title: Outbound Logistics Dispatcher (2nd or 3rd Shift) - Creyts Road, Lansing, MI Location: MI-Lansing Other Locations: MI-Lansing Currently, Meijer is looking for an Outbound Logistics Dispatcher. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for dispatching drivers in the most cost efficient way while ensuring both on-time deliveries and compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations. Key responsibilities include: * Dispatching drivers within hours of service limitations while ensuring on time performance * Monitoring building lineups * Tracking trailer movements * Ensuring on-time performance for store deliveries and backhauls * Monitoring yard status * Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations which includes hazardous materials, hours of service, drug and alcohol program, driver physical and license issues, vehicle maintenance and driver vehicle inspection reports * Assisting with accident investigations * Interpreting and following union contract This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.
