Web Developer – Contract Business incubator within a successful mid west advertising agency is looking for a web development superstar This position will be responsible for multiple projects and will become a key member of our team This is a Remote position that will require an independent individual that is self motivated You will work on development projects for multiple businesses within our environment If you want to be the goto person in a cool startup environment this position is for you Check out some of our current projects: Careervitals com Goautocu com We are looking for an all purpose code genius that is full of energy and is looking for an exciting gig You must be comfortable working remotely You will interface daily with our production staff and project management team via phone Skype and IM but you must be self motivated to complete tasks on time The primary focus of this Web Developer will be to create and maintain systems written in PHP A successful individual will have experience developing front end sites and back end systems This individual will be responsible for developing and updating multiple websites sites each with their own set of business logic and brand standards The position will entail approximately 60 back end development and 40 front end development For this position attention to detail is key We know every job posting says this but we really mean it This means the ability to develop clean code test and debug thoroughly on your own and maintain organized code using a pre determined standard that you will help design You will also be expected to create pixel precise sites from provided PhotoShop layouts and consult with our design and project management teams to strategize the best development solution to solve business problems In this position you will be given basic business requirements and PhotoShop layouts and will be required to brainstorm effective functionality and implement those solutions on your own If you require extensive direction and documentation to implement your solutions this is not the position for you In addition you will be responsible to adhere to established brand standards and will need to be able to recognize front end design standards You will not be required to design but you will have to recognize good design and more importantly develop pixel precise versions of the design layouts you are provided This one year contract position is remote and could be converted to a full time permanent position for the right individual The contract will pay between 45 – 55 000 based on experience Experience: Extensive experience developing scalable object oriented PHP5 code Experience designing databases and writing efficient SQL queries Experience using Smarty Experience with javascript jquery XHTML HTML CSS Experience developing Dev Test and Production environments Experience implementing code management strategies and systems Experience using PhotoShop to slice web graphics Extensive experience using CSS to design exceptional front end site layouts Skills Required: The ability to develop test and maintain current systems written in PHP and managed in Smarty Must be able to deal with tight deadlines and changing requirements Must be able to write code from scratch Must be able to create pixel precise versions of PhotoShop layouts Must be able to work independently Must be able to work quickly and meet tight deadlines Must be able to figure out solutions to technical problems that you may not understand Must have excellent written and communication skills as you will be communicating with several executives our design team and project management staff on a regular basis Source: http://www.careervitals.com/job/6066537/Web-Developer--Strong-PHP-Experience--Remote-job-Lansing-MI
